Woodstock Downtown

The City of Woodstock is a historic community located in south Cherokee County, Georgia, approximately 30 miles north of Atlanta and 12 miles south of Canton, the county seat.

The City encouraged Hedgewood Properties to design a mixed-use neighborhood that would meet LCI goals of strengthening the core without compromising historic character. With this charge and an understanding of the need for commercial revitalization, TSW designed a natural extension of the city’s fabric that includes a square surrounded by offices, retail, and above-shop housing, all located within walking distance of townhouses and small lot single family homes.

TSW is responsible for both planning and the signature mixed-use building. When complete, Woodstock Downtown will have added 50,000 square feet of retail/restaurants, 10,000 square feet of offices, 125 townhouses, 62 single-family homes, and 74 loft units. The city will also gain a 3.5-acre park, representing 18 percent of the development’s area.

In addition, TSW is working with Hedgewood Properties on the other side of Main Street to create Woodstock West, a redevelopment of Woodstock commercial core to include a variety of housing, retail, and office and preserve historic buildings and facades.
